I beseech you all to harken to my important message. Pleasant greetings to you all fellow beneficiaries of the great idea called Shumbafoot. You may be wondering why the title of this message is in the Khoisan language of the /Xam people. This special phrase is the national motto of the beautiful rainbow nation which we all know as South Africa. This special statement speaks of the unity of

diverse people with diverse cultures in South Africa and if we are to apply it to our greater global society, we will appreciate the fact that for us all to move forward in a positive direction, we ought to unite, despite being diverse people. So how does this motto relate to our current celebrations?

Shumbafoot is beneficial to diverse people worldwide and it is currently advocating for unity and peace via the campaign and theme for 2022 'Umoja na Amani'. With seven blogs and 50+ YouTube videos in 3 months, Shumbafoot has proven to be a consistent platform where many gather and harvest good knowledge and skills. It's now seven years since the birth of this great platform called Shumbafoot and in this year we celebrate Shumbafoot in style.  

The theme for our celebrations is very special to me because it reminds me of the importance of my identity and I can reiterate this on behalf of all beneficiaries of Shumbafoot. 

So what is Culture?

Culture is the way of life and customs of a particular group of people.

Culture is meant to bring a group of likeminded people together in order for them to work, live and succeed together. The reason why these people find it easy to connect with each other is because they share the same vision and similar backgrounds and they are guided by the same values and principles. This is why culture brings order to a group of persons, which we refer to as a society. 

Now let me walk you through the Shumbafoot concept of embracing culture, using Shumbafoot as an example. If you visit the profiles of the Shumbafoot social media platforms, you are going to find the following statement, "Chii Chinonzi Shumbafoot? Shumbafoot is an idea which seeks to help some people to identify their potential; enrich their minds with knowledge and advance their skills, for personal benefit.". This is what we believe is the principal reason for Shumbafoot's existence. Our culture is founded on research, creativity, unity, discipline, generosity and above all LOVE. Without the integration of these principles, Shumbafoot's culture would not be relevant to the global society. Shumbafoot is in the business of ideas and creativity and it supports the use of this business in developing our societies and the world at large. What you see on Shumbafoot social platforms is one of the ways in which Shumbafoot embraces its culture. Shumbafoot seeks to go beyond boundaries that are slowing down the process of achieving a healthy, progressive world.
